General Product Disclaimer
At Tallwoods Candle Co., we take pride in providing quality candles designed to enhance your home and personal spaces.
All candles are intended for their designated purposes and must be used responsibly and in accordance with the safety instructions provided on the product packaging and our website.
By purchasing or using our products, you acknowledge that candles involve an open flame, heat, and other inherent risks when used improperly.
Candle Safety & Customer Responsibilities
For your safety, customers should follow these precautions:
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep candles away from children and pets.
Keep burning candles away from curtains, furniture, decorations, and other flammable materials.
Always place candles on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn, unless the product instructions specify otherwise.
Never move or touch a candle while the wax or container is hot.
Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents.
Follow the recommended maximum burn time listed on the product label.
Discontinue use when the amount of wax remaining reaches the minimum specified on the product label.
Never use water to extinguish a candle.
Stop using a candle if its container becomes cracked or damaged.
Customers are responsible for reading and following all product-specific warnings and instructions.
Assumption of Inherent Risks
Candles naturally produce heat and an open flame. Potential risks include burns, fire, property damage, and injuries resulting from unsafe use.
By using our products, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow all applicable safety instructions.
Nothing in this policy requires you to assume risks arising from our negligence, defective products, or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Fragrance & Sensitivity Disclaimer
Our scented candles may contain fragrance oils and other ingredients that can cause sensitivities or allergic reactions in certain individuals.
Fragrance preferences and individual sensitivities vary.
If you experience discomfort or irritation while using a product, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical advice when necessary.
We do not represent our candles as hypoallergenic, allergy-free, or suitable for every individual.
Handmade Product Variations
If applicable, our handmade candles may have slight differences in color, appearance, wax texture, or fragrance characteristics.
These variations do not necessarily indicate a product defect.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Tennessee and federal law, Tallwoods Candle Co. disclaims liability for losses or damages arising solely from a customer's misuse of a product, failure to follow clearly provided safety instructions, or unauthorized modification of a product, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability for defective products, negligence, personal injury, fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent it is valid and enforceable under applicable law.
Product Inspection & Damaged Items
Customers should inspect their candles upon delivery and before use.
Do not light or use a candle if its container is broken, cracked, or otherwise unsafe.
If you receive a damaged or potentially defective candle, contact us at hello@tallwoodscandleco.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
We may request photographs to assist with reviewing the concern.
Your rights under applicable consumer protection and product liability laws remain unaffected.
No Medical or Therapeutic Claims
Our candles are intended for fragrance, ambiance, and decorative enjoyment.
Unless expressly stated and legally substantiated, our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
Descriptions of fragrance experiences, including terms such as "relaxing," "calming," or "uplifting," refer to general sensory experiences and are not guarantees of therapeutic results.
Governing Law
